All four Early Childhood buildings hosted Family Events during the fall.

Families at the Jesse Franklin Taylor building enjoyed a pumpkin walk, mask painting, face painting and fun learning activities.

At Woodlawn Learning Center the theme was “Camp Woodlawn”; students and their families sang “Going on a Bear Hunt” and had a visit from a Polk County Conservation officer.

Mitchell Early Learning Center hosted a fall event including art, math and science activities. The event concluded with Story Time from the South Side branch of the Des Moines Public Library.

McKee Learning Center hosted a preschool family event called “Safety Makes Sense” combining activities around the five senses theme and safety. The event included a chance for students to see and explore a fire truck and police car.
