My name is Miss Mary and I am the special education associate in the McKee Hickory Dickory Dock room! I have worked for the Des Moines Public Schools for the past 29 years. I worked for 25 years at Hillis Elementary in Special Education, and 2 1/2 years at Smouse in Head Start. This is my 3rd year at McKee. In 2002, I decided to go back to school and obtain my teaching degree. In 2009, I proudly earned my degree with an endorsement in Reading and Language Arts. I am the very proud mother to 5 fantastic children and 13 grandchildren. I am also the proud mama to a pug and a cat. I love teddy bears, bubbles and balloons. My family and I enjoy camping, and playing and watching baseball. I am so excited and honored to be working with and growing with your child. I know we will have a wonderful fun-filled learning experience this year!
