Des Moines Public Schools is home to four Early Learning Centers that provide several preschool options:

• Mitchell Early Learning Center 111 Porter Avenue, 50315
• Jesse Franklin Taylor Education Center 1801 16th Street, 50314
• Woodlawn Education Center 4000 Lower Beaver Road, 50310

In addition, Early Childhood classrooms are located in several neighborhood elementary schools including:

• Cowles Montessori 6401 College Avenue, 50324
• McKinley 1610 SE 6th Street, 50315
• Moulton 1541 8th Street, 50314
• Walnut Street 901 Walnut Street, 50309
